A while back I offered $15 color sketch commissions. The awesome *Mekania was the only person to take me up on them. 8B

This is her character, Alcarin. I probably went through two dozen thumbnails before I finally found something I liked.

This isn't really in what I would consider "my" style. The colors are too bright/saturated, but I wanted to have vivid colors to offset her expression. I wanted her to look like she's thinking about something she's lost, dunno if I really succeeded in that.

YOU IMPROVE SO RIDICULOUSLY, AUGH. I'm always so impressed with the progress you make with each pic. Skin tones are fabulous.

Friggin' amazing. I like the saturated colours and the pose is just great! Relaxed without being stiff (not... what it sounds like).
The texture of the board is wow as well.

I'm still angry that the commision-journal never showed up in my inbox. )8<

Well, I think you pulled off what you were looking for.

And I love that hair.

aw what a cool portrait- and oh man, I love that hair!
It looks very lively, like it's really being tossed about by the wind and whatnot. I've always had trouble with hair being too static and stiff, so this is kinda inspiring c:

I love it. To me it definitely captures a kind of sad/contemplative mood, like she's trying to figure out what to do after she (inevitably, with that cursed eye of hers!) caused something terrible to happen. Thank you so much <3 I hope you had some fun with her even if it's not exactly your style!

I like the colors, but the facial expression is hard to read, partly because of her feather eye.
