Because at 2am, crossing stone giants and pokemon battles is standard conversation on MSN.

More practice working from scratch in Photoshop without a traditional sketch to begin with. I may do another round of detailing on the foreground and lower half of the giant, but I kind of like the way it looks at the moment. Another piece for the next portfolio.

I learned a hell of a lot about light while working on this, and I'm fairly happy how it turned out.

I find it extremely ironic that this picture, heck, your style, is so incredibly realistic, serious, and befitting of an epic, (and that's the traditional definition of epic, not the overused, devalued slang) yet the inspiration can be as inane as the above mentioned conversation. It's this type of subtle comedy that makes me add this to the favorites list. I salute you.
