ImagineFX is holding a contest atm for artists under 25. This piece was always one that got a better response from people, so I thought I would revisit it. I've never gone back and painted over an old piece before, but it was a fun experiment.

It has been a little under a year since I finished the original ( [link] ), but it was educational to go back and revisit a piece after considering it "finished" for so long. It definitely taught me a lot about just how much you can learn in under a year.

As always, Xavius is (c) Blizzard Entertainment.

I like the picture very much, but what kind of moron draws swords against a foe whose sword is bigger than he is?

This is amazing. Loving the colour scheme and composition! The light filtering through the wings looks great! Well done!

Haha, I remember the upload of the first version. Camparing the pieces however, i feel that the newer one gives best credit to textures whilst te older one is winning the atmosphere contest.

Fantastic - flipping back and forth between the two versions, you really see the extra effort that went into this iteration. I love the added perspective on the arm.
